Pest A Cator 1000 Electromagnetic Rodent Repeller For Small Areas

PEST A CATOR 1000 is an electronic device that utilizes electromagnetic technology and was specifically engineered for use in the smaller home (generally regarded as 1000 square feet or less), apartment, or condo. The device is designed to cause a slight phase shift (delay) in the timing of the electromagnetic field which surrounds the wiring in the home. This phase shift is the primary reason that this technology has been shown to have some kind of an effect on pests, and more particularly upon rodents. The device functions by broadcasting an electromagnetic signal in a pulsing fashion with an on-off cycle in order to avoid the numbing effect obtained with any constant sensory stimulus. Multiple units are needed for multiple stories.

Doesn't cover large areas, but really sufficient for small areas where the signal is directly in sync with the path the mice take. 3 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Patents By Richard Without a doubt my biggest pet pev is not my mouse infestation, but people who make "smart" comments about how something scientifically works because they read it on Wikipedia or because they heard it somewhere. Well my friends let me share my secret that's getting me through gradschool. It's called Google patents at [...] if you are ever curious how something works. Look it up, don't rely on some tool to tell you that "because it does not have a ground wire it can't work" because he/she is wrong. The Patent number for this device is US 6400995. The best part is, Google Patents is free! When you look at patents almost all if it is a bunch of junk except near then end you will find "claims". Claim 1 is the most important and is what is actually patented. The examples are also helpful to look at. Oh, I bought the large version called Pestacator 2000 and it works. Thanks, Richard PS: Fox, that coil you found is called a solenoid. That is creates the electromagnetic fields. 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Works very well!!! By Sasha Cummings I purchased one three years ago because mice came into my house every winter, as soon as it got really cold. We have had NO EVIDENCE of any mice since that time. We leave it plugged in year round, just in case. I have purchased these for other members of my family who have had mice, and recommend them to everyone! There is no doubt in my mind that this works. It's worth every penny to not come across mouse droppings or the mice themselves! See all 5 customer reviews...
