Caught the mouse with no problem and let him go in a nearby field, completely unharmed. It can be a little tricky when you first set it up to get the little door to stay propped open, but if it didn't close easily, then it wouldn't work. Am very happy with this. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. excellent product, two for two By M. Simpson Bought two of these locally as we needed them stat. Mice were in new home close to woods. We see no reason to kill a mouse for doing what mice do. Set out both traps baited with a smidge of peanut butter and some sunflower seeds. No metal to rust, no machinery to break, simple fulcrum and pivot. Mouse gets in, triggers trap, and in trying to back out latches it even more securely. First mouse caught in 15 minutes (really). Second mouse several days later (we had only seen two, but have reset both traps). Neither trap was damaged in any way. The second one had likely been occupied for at least several hours, but no gnawing, no damage. Mice easy to set free, traps easy to wash, dry and reset. Cheap, and worked well and humanely. Absolutely no complaints. Note that this review is for the single Tomcat Live trap. The picture associated with this Amazon product is the one. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Worked like a charm By Kate I put the trap down at 8 in the evening and the next morning, I had my mouse. I agree with J. Smith, the little guy looked wet and rung out, but when I released him, he raced off fast enough. I've used it twice now, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. So much better than killing them. See all 9 customer reviews...
