The most humane means of keeping rats and mice away from your garbage or from entering your house from the outside. Wearing gloves, apply Dr. T�s rat-a-way in a light sprinkle around areas that are seen as entry points for rodents. To keep rodents away from your refuse, start 1 inch from the outermost garbage bags and sprinkle a 24 inch band that encircles the area. When odor becomes faint, simply reapply. By Molly Mack my delay in posting this review - from the time I purchased it - is because I wanted to see if "Rataway", or how you spell the product, really keep the rats away. We had problems with rats climbing on our deck, which is a story from the ground to eat the bird seed in our bird feeders. Our Cairn terrier trying to keep the rats away, but he could not be "on duty" all the time. We caught a couple, but we did not enjoy killing the buggers. So, I bought Rataway, hoping it would keep the rats away. I sprinkled on the soil around the clematis we thought they would be scrambling to come up on deck, and I also put some of the larger planter where the dog said they were alive. It's been a couple weeks now, and we have not seen any rats and dogs are no longer interested in hunting rats on deck. Out and not see you, rodents, but it does not last very long. Rats appear to be very determined to be pests. Feels very strongly of mothballs. Read 2 reviews ....
