We live in the desert where scorpions are, well, unfortunately, a reality. And with 2 kids under 5 and another on the way, I'm taking the extra precautions. Like the other poster said, you'd be amazed what you catch with these things. Last summer we started putting these in the corner of our master, based on the suggestion of our exterminator (he wanted to see our activity). I was skeptical at first because I didn't think bugs would be crawling in those areas--I mean, I certainly didn't SEE any. Boy was I wrong! I was horrified! over the course of the summer, we caught spiders, roaches, scorpions, centipedes and other little things. I put them in the kids' bathroom and yup, caught some scorpions and centipedes. These are not meant for mice or heavier critters, as I've actually witnessed some of the larger spiders (mostly the ones with thicker legs--and they're by no means that huge) trying to and successfully escaping after getting stuck. Some of those spiders are determined! Fortunately, scorpions and centipedes can't escape because of the flatter nature of their bodies.A MUST in your house if you want to control your critter problem! 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Caught 2 mice By Ishika Worked for me ... 2 down so far and some more to go i guess ... tried many others but this one worked well. Works for small pests By P. Cox These traps will not stop mice or larger spiders. But they will stop roaches. I found two, each a roach that crawled into the trap and didn't even make it halfway through. The problem with rating traps like these is that you can't just lay them around the house and know how well they work. Just because you didn't catch anything doesn't mean they don't stick.My advice is to lay about 20 around a 2-3 rooms, closets and bathrooms and check back periodically to see what they turn up. (My 4 star rating is because I set it for roaches only in my apt about 2 months ago, and I did just now find two roaches on the same day that barely stepped in before getting stuck.)
