Needed something that would not hurt them, I bought these for that reason. They are easy to set and I can't imagine these hurting a person's finger. I place a bit of peanut butter on each and they do the job. Caught three mice in two days. I noticed that you can release the dead mouse into the trash without touching it, since the unit is made of hard plastic, I cleaned and reused. Brown Bought this as an upgrade to the traditional "snap trap," and it certainly caught the mouse...but it did not kill it. Instead the mouse dragged the trap under our boiler and died there. We had a week of flies in our basement. The other trap we'd set went off without catching anything, and the back got chewed through so they could get to the peanut butter!
