By Billie I foolishly believed what some of the others had said about this product. They had said they dodn't work. I had several that were sprung so I got them back out of the trash and looked in them and saw nothing, so I reset them. 2 days later the room I had put them in smelled terrible! And another trap had sprung in another room. I tried to rest the trap but it wouldn't reset. I saw nothing so I pried the trap up some and there was a mouse in it! You cannot see them even with a flashlight looking in the hole! I went and got the other 2 traps and threw them away and the smell is gone! These traps do work! And are true to there word! You do not see the mouse! I am ordering more! 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. BUYER BEWARE! Mice go in and come right back out! By Maryann C. I just watched a mouse go in and out of one of these traps repeatedly, five feet from me. It wasn't a small mouse, it was a fat, full-grown male. It should have triggered any trap, but nothing happened. I checked the trap, it was set correctly as per the instructions, with the red indicator visible through the "set" opening. I very strongly advise you NOT to buy this product and to be very wary of positive reviews for it. If you feel the need to purchase, anyway, I strongly suggest you begin with ONE order and try it. If you have the same experience I did, you'll be glad you didn't waste any more money. Worst trap I've ever tried. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Difficult to know when it's working properly, but SAFER FOR KIDS By P. Kingsriter The concept of this trap is a good one: A spin-trap that envelopes the mouse so you don't have to see/touch the little beast after it's dead. The execution (pardon the pun) leaves something to be desired. I've purchased more than one set of these and the results have varied. I've found that they're very touchy, are difficult to set properly, then they misfire frequently. This makes the "results indicator" difficult to trust. Mice are so light that it's difficult to feel whether or not something is in the trap. I examined one that showed "Mouse Caught" and there was no trace of a mouse. No mouse, no hair, possibly some poop, but my peanut butter was gone. We have caught a few mice with these, but since they're more expensive and not as reliable as the old standard snap-traps, I would recommend you stick with them... If you're really squeamish about dead mice, this might be at least a starting point for getting rid of a few. Just be prepared to throw a good number away and not be sure if you're throwing away an empty trap. One nice thing: It's a much safer option than traditional wire snap traps when it comes to kids and pets. See all 3 customer reviews...
